Automated Virtual Payments Bringing Next Level Service and Security to Travel Management

Vision Travel and CSI globalVCard Partnership Enables Canadian Companies to Solve Pain Points in Travel Procurement with Virtual Card Payment System

The Partnership Between CSI globalVCard and Vision Travel Brings Single-Use Virtual Card Payments into Canada’s Business Travel Industry

Toronto, May 24, 2017 – Vision Travel, a leader in travel management in Canada and CSI globalVCard, a leading provider of electronic payment solutions, today announced the integration of Concur Compleat to their single-use virtual card payments partnership.

The partnership, which brought the security and control of virtual cards to the corporate travel industry in Canada, now offers the additional benefit of automating the travel booking and expense process. Vision Travel can place CSI globalVCard’s virtual card numbers directly into travel reservations via Concur thereby automating the coordination process and effectively streamlining reservations while employing an even higher level of security.

CSI’s globalVCard travel solution is directly integrated with Concur Compleat and Vision Travel’s booking system to allow corporate customers the option of automated payments for business travel expenses through CSI’s highly secure globalVCard payment system.

The U.S. business travel market is quickly embracing virtual card payments for corporate travel, but the Canadian market has only begun to adopt this technology. With the addition of the globalVCard travel payment option, Vision Travel is the first travel management company in Canada to introduce virtual card payment options to their corporate travel customers.

“Vision Travel is committed to a personalized and responsive approach to the business of travel,” said Brian Robertson, President of Vision Travel, Ontario-West. “Through this partnership with CSI globalVCard, our payment capabilities will be advanced, keeping us as a leader in corporate travel management. With the globalVCard travel solution, our corporate travel clients will benefit with highly secure payments that are customized, controlled and easier to reconcile.”

The software integration will solve some of the most challenging pain points in corporate travel for Vision Travel clients:

  • Security – a secure, compliant payment system is at the core of CSI’s globalVCard solutions. Single-use virtual credit card payments offer additional security since the card number becomes invalid once the transaction is complete and therefore cannot be compromised.
  • Compliance – only authorized purchases can be booked and paid for. That means compliance is assured, no unauthorized upgrades can be hidden in expense reports, and the traveller is held accountable for remaining within budget.
  • Control – spending limits and usage restrictions can be controlled in real time, with either desktop or mobile device. Companies have the ability to restrict usage by merchant type, time of day, or even limit to preferred brands.
  • Reconciliation – each virtual card number is tied to a specific transaction, enabling reconciliation by traveller, trip or department.

Juliann Pless, SVP, globalVCard Travel commented, “Our integration with Concur Compleat allows Vision Travel the ability to offer next level service to their clients by reducing errors, saving time, and increasing the security of the payments process. It is exciting to play such a pivotal role in expanding and automating the use of virtual cards within the globalVCard travel solution into the Canadian market and we are looking forward to the evolving partnership between CSI globalVCard and Vision Travel.”
