Summary
Seeking an experienced, Apollo trained, Sr. International Travel Consultant. Responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, cost effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients.

Responsibilities

  • Completes domestic and international travel arrangements for clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail
  • Supports multiple accounts.
  • Operates within detailed procedures
  • Interacts with traveler or travel arranger and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues
  • Ensures compliance of a clients travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors to maximize profit
  • Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including telephone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure.
  • Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
  • Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment
  • Monitor, sort and work Apollo queues daily to maintain quality control.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of corporate travel experience
  • GDS proficiency required – Apollo preferred
  • Ability to create International multi-segment, multi-destination itineraries
  • Experience with ticketing, scripts, changes and exchanges to complex multi-segment domestic and international PNRs
  • Knows and properly uses airline terminology, codes, fare basis, and airline rules and tariffs
  • Must demonstrate industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of world geography, international faring, and commission structures

Summary
Responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, cost effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.

Title: Corporate Account Manager
Department: Client Services
Reports To: Director of Account Management

Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for account profitability, service delivery, implementations, and customer satisfaction. The Account Manager works with Direct Travel’s corporate accounts to improve efficiencies, create and administer travel policies, evaluate and implement technologies, and troubleshoot issues. The Account Manager also negotiates discounts on behalf of clients with airline, rental car and hotel vendors which offer reduced rates in return for market-share commitments. The Account Manager oftentimes interacts with senior executives and client’s Finance teams. The Account Manager position may require up to 30% out of town travel.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer travel policy which reflects the client’s corporate philosophy and adheres to defined cost-containment guidelines
  • Identify opportunities to sell-through new Direct Travel products and services, resulting in increased revenue
  • Monitor online booking tool performance to increase adoption by organizing ongoing trainings for travelers and travel arrangers
  • Establish agreements with approved travel suppliers on behalf of corporate accounts.
  • Ensure high service levels for all customers and work with Direct Travel Operations to resolve service-related concerns.
  • Work with customers to perform random travel audits to verify policy compliance
  • Distribute travel communications to keep customers apprised of industry developments
  • Represent Direct Travel at travel industry functions and participate in travel-related professional organizations in an effort to stay abreast of trends and best practices
  • Meet quarterly with clients to review travel spend and forecast future travel and meetings needs
  • Work closely with clients on risk management procedures
  • Assist Direct Travel sales team by attending meetings and presentations related to new sales activities

Job Scope
The Account Manager position involves recurring and non-recurring work situations. Job involves a high degree of complexity in terms of knowledge of the travel industry, travel-related technologies, vendor negotiations and service delivery. Global expansion and management of global business plans may be required depending on client travel scope.
The Account Manager may be required to assist customers in creating best practices and procedures. The Account Manager makes decisions independently within general Direct Travel guidelines.
Qualifications:
The Account Manager must possess thorough knowledge of the business travel industry, airline and hospitality industries, and travel industry-specific automation. The Account Manager must possess intermediate level skills in word processing and spreadsheets (i.e. MS Word and Excel). In addition, the Account Manager must successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously; speak, read, and write English; possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, negotiating and verbal/written communications skills. The Account Manager will be required on a regular basis to conduct complex interpersonal interactions with others, troubleshoot, solve problems, make decisions, operate independently, and work effectively under pressure.
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent training is preferred and a minimum of five years corporate travel agency experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft tools is required, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Some experience with the Apollo Global Distribution System (GDS) is preferred. Some experience with web-based automated booking systems and data reporting tools is also preferred but not required.

Title: Implementation Lead
Department: Operations Support

Overview
Plan and manage implementations throughout the Enterprise. Coordinate efforts of DT internal and client resouces to meet the objectives of the implementation project plan and work with department to alleviate any obstacles that may occur during the process. Provide efficient and cost effective implemenations guaranteeing client satisfaction.
Responsibilities

  • Works with department leadership to identify appropriate resources for each implementation
  • Schedule and run project calls with client and internal teams
  • Provides updates on project activities
  • Ensure work activities are completed in a timely manner
  • Assists in finding resolution to issues or questions during implementations
  • Escalates critical issues to management team members, as required
  • Develops clear understanding of process flows and related documents for the business
  • Support of any new processes as it relates to implementations
  • Follow up emails on open items, concerns,and issues relating to new accounts
  • Identify, track and communicate conversion dollar opportunities

Title: Account Manager - Meetings And Incentives
West Region
Immediately available, full time position for a motivated individual to add to our current M and I staff. Position and responsibilities as follows:
  1. Effectively managing the client
    • ‘own’ the program, consult with clients about options, guide clients to good decisions, sell our value, build strong relationships, be trusted advisor, etc.

  2. Effectively managing the program
    • This speaks to service, creating the experience (tied to the why), execution, managing suppliers, financial management, etc.
    • The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing and leading the client, rooming list, , building client relationships, engaging suppliers with client priorities, and bringing creative solutions to our clients.
    • Consults with client to determine goals, needs, objectives, expectations and understands client/group idiosyncrasies.
Program Operations
Negotiates and manages supplier contracts, including deposits, attrition, concessions, guarantees, room blocks, and master accounts as well as acting as liaison between customer, hotel and all suppliers.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel. Ability to learn and operate in proprietary software program.
