Direct Travel Launches Holidays for Heroes

Before we prepare for a new year of growth and opportunity, the holidays ahead present an opportunity to give back and recognize a few of the many essential heroes of 2020. In keeping with this spirit, Direct Travel is launching Holidays for Heroes to celebrate the individuals who have gone out of their way to make a difference in the lives of those around them.

Call for Nominees

Now through December 23^rd, we encourage our clients, industry colleagues, and the public-at-large to nominate individuals on the frontline who have made an impact during the COVID-19 pandemic. From that pool of nominees, 10 winners will be selected for a pair of round-trip air tickets and accommodations at a resort property in Mexico. 

The initiative is the follow-up to Direct Travel’s Flights for Heroes, which awarded healthcare professionals with airfare for future use. While those in the health and medical field are also eligible for Holidays for Heroes, the nomination process is also open to anyone on the frontline. This may include essential workers like teachers, grocery store employees, postal workers, and caregivers, or those in critical trades like construction and transportation, among others.

Enjoying the Holidays

While Holidays for Heroes will serve as a celebration of all the nominees submitted, 10 lucky individuals will be selected on January 4^th as prize winners. The winners will be provided with two round-trip air tickets and treated to the sun and sands of Mexico at world-class resort properties.
