Katherine Creek is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Direct Travel, bringing more than two decades of experience in driving organizational performance through people-first strategies. As CHRO, Katherine leads all aspects of the company’s human capital strategy, with a focus on building an inclusive, high-performing culture that empowers employees and supports long-term growth.
Before joining Direct Travel, Katherine served as CHRO at Shepherd Center, a nationally ranked hospital specializing in brain and spinal cord injury care. She played a pivotal role on the executive leadership team, aligning HR initiatives with the organization’s mission and business strategy. Her prior experience includes senior leadership roles at The CBORD Group, Horizon Software, and several financial institutions, where she led HR transformations during mergers and acquisitions and advanced key initiatives in talent acquisition, compensation, HR technology, and organizational development.
A trusted advisor to executive teams, Katherine is known for her ability to lead through change, scale HR operations, and foster cultures rooted in engagement and inclusion. She holds both SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications and is passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences that fuel innovation and business success.
Katherine is based in Brookhaven, Georgia, where she lives with her family and their dog, Winston. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, traveling, and cheering on her hometown teams—the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs.
