Over 150 Direct Travel agents, ICs, head office staff and preferred suppliers celebrated the festive season on December 9 at Toronto\u2019s Fairmont Royal York Hotel.<\/p>\n
One of 16 events being held across the country as part of the group\u2019s celebration of the festive season, the gala dinner was held in the hotel\u2019s legendary ballroom.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an annual event for us,\u201d said Stephen Smith, Direct Travel\u2019s\u00a0 Senior Vice President – Leisure Strategy & Marketing said.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s such a great opportunity to see friends and colleagues, and welcome new members of the team.\u201d\u00a0 Also present were senior execs from Direct Travel\u2019s US headquarters including Gerard Bellino, President of Leisure Travel and John Coffman, CFO.<\/p>\n

Brian Robertson, President Canada of Direct Travel, acted as emcee and proved very popular as he announced door prizes from preferred suppliers. The grand prize, a system-wide pass for two on Air Canada, was won by a delighted Tina Ngotzamanis of Toronto.<\/p>\n

15 additional events have been held or will shortly take place in cities as far west as Victoria and as far east as Montreal.<\/p>\n
